Who, What, When, Where, Why, How

Who:

Who are we?
We are the Drama Monkeys. We are those theatre lovers who no longer feel comfortable at DEHS. We could be anyone who loves theatre and can get to practice. Quitting entirely is not an option, so we are moving on and making things happen for ourselves.

What:

What are we doing?
We are doing theatre of course. More specifically, we are doing one act plays. We don't have the personnel to do full scale plays, but we can do this. Currently we only have "Drop" to practice, but we are looking for more. When it's good, we'll look for places to perform, and see if we can find an audience.

When:

When are practices? When do we perform?
Practice is after school. No school, no practice. As soon as school gets out we make our way to the practice grounds. As for performances, we still have no idea. If we get into festival, it will be the 19th of January.

Where:

Where is practice? Performances?
We are practicing at Rob's house. His parents were generous enough to put up with a bunch of teenagers after school everyday. If you don't know how to get there, meet us after school and carpool or follow one of us. Performances we imagine will be in churches and civic buildings. There is the possibility of renting the school auditorium, too.

Why:

Why are we doing this?
Because we love theatre, of course. Our big man that made the theatre a home for all of us is gone, and it is different now. [Redacted] We are doing this to prove that we can, and that we do not need the school's support to do what we like to do.

How:

How is this going to work?
We really have no idea. It is going to be tough. Right now money is a big problem, because most things cost money. Money is hard to find, so we are looking for donations. Right now we have donated make-up, donated practice space, and free script. Hopefully everything else will come together too. It will take a lot of work to make it all come together, but I believe in us. For many of us there is no choice but to make it work, so lets make it work, and let's make something to stand the test of time.
